What is your supervision style?

My supervision style is supportive, reflective and dynamic.  I bring a social justice lens and critical framework to supervision that aims to keep myself and my supervisees on our growing edges, aware of privileges, triggers, blind spots and the social/historical context within which we are practicing. My social work practice and supervision is informed by my experiences as a queer person of color and I center LGBTQ and social workers of color in my supervision practice.  I became an approved supervisor to make working towards LICSW licensure accessible and affordable. I am committed to supporting social workers in their growth as professionals and as people, to develop a social work practice that is sustainable, transformative and encourages work-life balance.  I hold learning space with humility, humor and a heartfelt love for the work.
